David Schuessler

David is the director of and a treatment provider at Innovative Counseling & Recovery. He has worked providing assessment and treatment to individuals with a history of sexual behavioral problems since 1999. He opened Innovative Counseling & Recovery (FKA Innovative Counseling Enterprises) in 2010.

David earned his master's degree in Community Psychological Counseling at Southeast Missouri State University and a bachelor's degree in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

David's professional interests include working with adults and juveniles who have a history of sexual offending, working with the LGBTQ+ community, and working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or those on the autism spectrum.

Greg Barrett, M.S.W.

Greg Barrett

Greg is a therapist at Innovative Counseling & Recovery who works with adults experiencing shame, anxiety, and depression. He is committed to creating a collaborative and supportive therapeutic environment that emphasizes the importance of human connection in emotional healing.

Greg utilizes a trauma-informed, integrative approach drawing from psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based practices.

His work focuses on values-based action, helping individuals develop healthier coping strategies, increase emotional awareness, and build sustainable habits that support long-term change.

Carlos Castillo Casas

Carlos Castillo Casas

Carlos is a Colombian-trained psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health and treatment field. He brings extensive experience working with Hispanic and Latino individuals and families and integrates cultural awareness into all aspects of his clinical work.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Konrad Lorenz University in Bogotá, Colombia, and has completed advanced training in family systems, psychosocial interventions, clinical assessment, and therapeutic strategies across multiple institutions.

Carlos is a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider with the State of Oregon and is committed to providing inclusive, ethical, and respectful care to individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.

Felix Osagie-Ekhovbiye

Felix is a therapist at Innovative Counseling & Recovery with experience working in forensic and clinical settings. His work focuses on supporting individuals navigating complex legal, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Felix earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Austin Peay State University and a master’s degree in Forensic and Legal Psychology from Roger Williams University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University.

He takes an integrative therapeutic approach incorporating CBT, ACT, DBT, and liberation-focused therapy, with professional interests including forensic populations, individuals impacted by domestic violence, and people of color.

Ruby Heglin

Ruby is a part-time, remote therapist at Innovative Counseling & Recovery and a licensed professional counselor associate. She works with both adults and juveniles and has experience treating individuals involved in the justice system.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Psychology and Sociology from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in Counseling from Lewis & Clark College.

Ruby’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, with professional interests in human sexuality, healthy relationship development, and pornography literacy.

Nikki Betro

Nikki is a certified secondary clinical sex offender therapist and registered associate at Innovative Counseling & Recovery, where she has served as an evaluator since March 2025. She specializes in clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention within forensic populations.

She holds degrees in Psychology and Legal Studies, Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and Law, and is currently pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology with a forensic emphasis.

Nikki’s therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic, interpersonal, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy frameworks, emphasizing insight, emotional processing, and meaningful relational change.

Nicole Stanasolovich

Nicole is a licensed psychologist in Washington and is completing her postdoctoral fellowship at the Child Study and Treatment Center, where she conducts competency evaluations with juveniles.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Regis University, a master’s degree in Counseling from Arizona State University, and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in 2024.

Nicole has experience providing therapy and conducting forensic evaluations with both adults and juveniles and plans to pursue licensure in Oregon following completion of her fellowship.

Harlee Solesbee

Harlee Solesbee

Harlee is a licensed clinical social worker and certified secondary clinical sexual offense therapist specializing in forensic mental health and trauma-informed care. She provides individual and group therapy, risk assessments, and supportive services to system-involved adults.

She earned her Master of Social Work from New York University and her Bachelor of Social Work from Pacific University, with additional training in dual diagnosis treatment and restorative justice practices.

Harlee’s work is grounded in a client-centered, harm-reduction approach focused on empowerment, collaboration, and reducing stigma within mental health and justice-involved systems.
